Control arm (front) — removal and installation

1. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel.

2. Detach the stabilizer bar link from the control arm (see Stabilizer bar and bushings (front) — removal, inspection and installation).

3. Remove the fasteners securing the ball joint to the control arm (see illustration).

4. Remove the control arm-to-subframe mounting bolts.

5. Remove the control arm.

6. Installation is the reverse of removal.

7. Install the wheel and lug nuts, then lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque listed in the Tune-up and routine maintenance Specifications.
