Cowl cover — removal and installation

1. The cowl cover has four sections: left trim, right trim, center trim and lower cowl cover.

2. Remove the windshield wiper arms (see Wiper motor — check and replacement).

3. Pull off the rubber hood to cowl seal (see illustration).

4. Remove the left and right cowl cover sections by removing the plastic fasteners, then releasing the tab that secures each one to the top of the fender. Then, lift up to unhook them from the center cowl section.

5. Remove the center cowl section (see illustration).

6. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the right side of the cowl cover (see illustration).

7. Remove the lower cowl cover (see illustrations).

i.7a Remove the bolts securing the lower cowl cover to the strut tower (repeat on the other side)

8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
