Antenna — removal and installation

Standard antenna

1. Coupes and sedans use a rear window- mounted antenna grid, which is similar to the defogger grid on the rear window. To replace the antenna, you have to replace the rear window. However, you can easily repair the antenna grid as long as the broken part is no more than one inch long. The procedure for repairing the antenna grid is identical to repairing the rear window defogger grid (see Rear window defogger — check and repair).

Warning: The manufacturer recommends that any repair on the antenna grid should not exceed one inch long. If the break is longer than one inch, replace the rear window glass.
