Warning: The models covered by this manual are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), more commonly known as airbags. Always disable the airbag systembefore working in the vicinity of any airbag system components to avoid the possibility of accidental deployment of the airbags, which could cause personal injury (see Chassis electrical system).
1. Certain body components are particularly vulnerable to accident damage and can be unbolted and repaired or replaced. Among these parts are the hood, doors, tailgate, lift-gate, bumpers and front fenders.
2. Only general body maintenance practices, body panel repair, and component/trim removal and installation procedures within the scope of the do-it-yourselfer are included in this Chapter.
