3. On some of the electric mirror models, remove the door trim panel to gain access to the retaining bolts and the electrical connector (see Door trim panels — removal and installation).
4. Remove the three mirror retaining nuts and detach the mirror from the vehicle (see illustration).
i.4 To remove the mirror, remove these three nuts — if the vehicle has power mirrors, also unplug the electrical connector
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

6. Remove the trim cover from the mirror base.
7. Loosen the set screw and slide the mirror up and off of the base mount (see illustration).

8. Disconnect the electrical connector (if equipped) and remove the mirror.
9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Note: If the mounting bracket for the mirror has come off the windshield, it can be reattached with a special mirror adhesive kit available at auto parts stores. Clean the glass and support base thoroughly and follow the directions on the adhesive package, allowing the base to bond overnight before attaching the mirror.
