Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor/Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor — replacement

1. Locate the MAF/IAT sensor (see illustration), which is on the air filter housing.

i.1 The IAT sensor is located on the air filter housing (Civic 1.8L shown)

2. On Civic 1.8L models, remove the air filter housing lid (see Air filter housing — removal and installation).

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IAT sensor.

4. Unscrew the sensor mounting screwsand remove the MAF/IAT sensor and gasket.

5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to use a new gasket.
