Oil pressure switch — replacement
1. On Civic 1.8L engines, the oil pressure switch is located on the front of the engine, near the transaxle (see illustration). On CR-V and 2.4L Civic engines, the oil pressure switch is located on the lower rear of the engine, on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

2. Locate the switch and disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Unscrew the switch from the engine block
4. If reusing the original switch, clean the sealant from the threads.
5. Coat the threads with sealant or use Teflon tape.
6. Install the switch into the engine block and tighten securely. Reconnect the electrical connector.
