Ignition coils — replacement
1. On 2.4L Civic models, remove the wiper arms, cowl cover and cowl (see Body) to access the ignition coils.
2. Remove the ignition coil cover or engine cover.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil (see illustration).

4. Remove the ignition coil mounting bolt.
5. Remove the ignition coil from the spark plug.
6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the ignition coil mounting bolt securely.
